Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) has made a strong commitment to addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion that impact the lives of the children and families we serve. The DEI summit on June 26, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the BBBSA National Conference will include a series of speakers and panel discussions aimed at discussing the challenges facing our youth and sharing best practices for empowering, inspiring, and igniting their potential. Each segment of the day will include experts speaking on topics of poverty, economic mobility, returning citizens, and equity; each session will end with recommendations on how Big Brothers Big Sisters can better train staff and volunteers who work with children who have come from challenging circumstances.
